GET TO KNOW KAREN BEVERS, RDN, CSO, LDN

What is your background?

I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. I then moved to Peoria to complete my dietetic internship at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Prior to starting this role, I worked as an inpatient clinical dietitian. I am Board Certified in Oncology Nutrition which means I specialize in nutrition for cancer patients.

What do you enjoy about dietetics in general?

I’m passionate about educating on simple diet changes that can make a big impact on overall health. As a dietitian, I get to combine my love for food and helping others.

“A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and you may feel that many things are out of your control right now. Think of nutrition as a component of your treatment and take control of your disease by nourishing your body during this challenging time.”
