Taking Cancer Treatments to Heart
The CDC recently released the top two causes of death last year: Heart Disease & Cancer. The Cardio-Oncology collaboration between OSF Cardiovascular Institute and Illinois CancerCare is treating both, proving once again that central Illinois is home to cutting edge healthcare.
“For a patient it means that during the course of their cancer treatment, whether it’s at the beginning, during the treatment, or even afterwards as a survivor of cancer, we are really focusing on trying to keep their overall health as optimum as possible.” Dr Madhuri Bajaj, Illinois CancerCare.
