CCRD Award Announcements

Congratulations to Illinois CancerCare! (member of Heartland NCORP)

National Cancer Institute awards Heartland Cancer Research NCORP with a Certificate of Excellence for Exceptional Patient Enrollment for Cancer Care Delivery Trials 2019-2020.

Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) is a multidisciplinary science that seeks to improve patient’s overall well-being by addressing factors that influence how care is delivered. These trials focus not only on the patient, but on clinicians and facility processes as well.  The goal of Cancer Care Delivery Research is to assure that all patients continuously receive the highest level of care. It is through research such as this that Illinois CancerCare continues to fulfill its mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate care that enhances the lives of patients and their families.

Illinois CancerCare partners with two other core midwestern cancer care clinics to form the – Decatur Memorial Hospital and Missouri Baptist Medical Center.

Congratulations to Illinois CancerCare and the entire Heartland NCORP on this well-deserved acknowledgement!

Illinois CancerCare Foundation

Illinois CancerCare’s NCORP program is partially funded by the Illinois CancerCare Foundation. This financial support contributes to bringing CCDR trials to each of our 13 Illinois CancerCare clinic locations throughout central and western Illinois.
