Breast cancer specialists applaud Angelina Jolie
PEORIA, Ill.— Local breast cancer specialists are hoping Angelina Jolie’s elective double mastectomy helps bring awareness to the importance of genetic testing.
Breast Cancer Surgeon Doctor Lynne Jalovec says she applauds Angelina Jolie for sharing the news of her double mastectomy. “To be willing to come out and say ‘I had my breasts removed’ I think is really a tribute to her I think it’s fantastic she did that.”
