Jessica Taylor, APN
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 from St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield, IL and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010 from OSF Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria. Jessica is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health.
When did you join Illinois CancerCare?
Jessica married her husband Brandon in 2008. They have a son, Lyle, and a daughter, Sydney.
Hobbies / Interests:
I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies and card games.
What medical change has impacted the field of cancer the most since you began practicing medicine?
I am fairly new to the oncology field since the majority of my nursing experience is with surgery. I know it is an evolving field with treatments constantly changing and improving.
Why did you choose your field?
I am very interested in the field of oncology/hematology and thought that Illinois CancerCare would be a great place to work as an APN.
Do you have any advice to give patients after they have been diagnosed with cancer?
Do what you can to remain as healthy as possible and take advantage of the great resources available at the cancer center.
