What medical change has impacted the field of cancer the most since you began practicing medicine? The advances in imaging that allow for earlier diagnosis and treatment interventions.
The ability to use targeted and immune therapies in more types of cancers.
Why did you choose your field?I chose this field because of personal cancer experiences with my own loved ones. I appreciate the opportunity to potentially make a difficult road a bit easier for patients and their families.
Do you have any advice to give patients after they have been diagnosed with cancer? My advice for every person (those diagnosed with cancer or not) is the same….none of us are guaranteed tomorrow so live each day with a “Get Busy Living” motto.
For those diagnosed with cancer, I would say that every cancer journey is unique, embrace where you are on your journey.
