Illinois CancerCare, P.C. Hosting Free Cancer Wellness Fair

PEORIA, Il. October 3, 2013– Illinois CancerCare, P.C. is hosting a free cancer wellness fair to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, October14th at their facility located at, 8940 N. Wood Sage Road, Peoria, IL. Cancer patients, their families and the community are invited to participate in this fun and informational event which will include free chair massages, product sampling, skin care tips, and educational & support services. Alwan’s Meats will be providing lunch for participants at a low cost. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Illinois CancerCare Foundation. For more information call (309) 243-3502.

“Often, when a patient gets a diagnosis of cancer, it is all they can do to wrap their mind around it,” said Dena Keenan, Volunteer Coordinator at Illinois CancerCare and organizer of the Cancer Fair. “We are hoping that the Cancer Fair will encourage our patients, caregivers and family members to learn more about the wonderful services and additional items we have to offer in a fun and entertaining environment.”
