Illinois CancerCare Foundation presents prostate cancer lecture on October 2nd
Part of an on-going series of presentations focused on cancer diagnosis, research and treatment
Peoria, IL September 11, 2014 – The Illinois CancerCare Foundation has announced the details of the next presentation in their Advancing a Cure lecture series. Successful Screening and Treatment of Prostate Cancer will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014, starting at 4:30 p.m. at Illinois CancerCare, 8940 N. Wood Sage Rd., Peoria. The program is offered free to the public with limited seating.
Presented by medical staff from Illinois CancerCare and area specialists in prostate cancer, the lecture enables the public to become better educated about prostate cancer, current screening tests, reviewing risk factors and when genetic testing might be appropriate. Prostate cancer prevention and survivorship will also be explored.
Led by Madhuri Bajaj, MD and Gary MacVIcar, MD, this program will include a panel discussion featuring Mackenzie McGee, MD; Matthew Carpenter, MD; Thomas Rashid, MD and Giovanni Colombo, MD. They will also answer questions from guests in attendance.
