6th Annual CUREageous Event to Present Rock Doc Awards to Area Physicians

PEORIA, Ill. September 3, 2015 ‐ The Illinois CancerCare Foundation is hosting its 6Th annual CUREageous event on
Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Par‐a‐Dice Hotel from 6:00‐11:00pm.

The physician and staff at Illinois CancerCare are committed to supporting patients and their families every step of
the way – by offering outstanding patient care and nationally recognized clinical research. This would not be
possible without the support of the Foundation.

The Foundation helps fund clinical research trials and has committed to fill the financial gap to ensure local
patients receive cutting edge cancer treatments and quality care close to home. A goal of the Illinois CancerCare
Foundation is to expand the number of patients enrolling in clinical trials in order to discover better treatment and
therapy options and ultimately cures for many types of cancer.

As part of the Foundation’s commitment to clinical research, CUREageous honors area physicians who excel in
their field of research. The Rock Doc Award is presented to physicians who work in the healthcare field in central
Illinois, who exhibit outstanding patient care, and who move patient care forward through their support in
research.

Physicians are nominated by employees, co‐workers, patients, and community members. The winners are selected
by an esteemed panel of physicians and community members who hold the same goal of improving the lives of
others through clinical research.
